Common Questions
Q. CAN YOU TELL ME TXRE ABOUT THE SHOW?
Greg's show is a hilarious, fun-filled experience with interactive audience participation. In fact, stage hypnosis shows are one of the most interactive forms of entertainment that you can possibility have with an audience. Your guests will become the stars of the show as Greg guides them through a fun-filled creative ride with their imaginations and the subconscious mind.It all begins with a entertaining yet informative introduction to hypnosis. The intro begins with me explaining what hypnosis is all about and what is going to happen during the show so everyone knows what to expect. I explain what it feels like to be hypnotized and how the power of suggestion works with a couple of fun demonstrations with the audience as a group that gets everybody involved.
Next, a group of 8 to 20 audience volunteers are invited up on stage to participate and become hypnotized. They will sit in a row of chairs facing the audience and then are put under a light hypnotic trance. This will temporarily allow them to change their emotions, change their environments and take on personalities to become unique characters or famous celebrities!
Q. WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
A. Hypnosis is actually a normal, natural state-of-mind. Incredibly, everyone enters this trance-state approximately 4 times per hour every day. It is the altered state of awareness where the subconscious mind responds immediately to positive suggestion.Contrary to what you may have seen in the movies, hypnotized people are not asleep or unconscious zombies. Rather, they are simply good visualizers and are in a highly focused form of concentration. Have you ever been so involved in watching a movie that you couldn't hear the person sitting next to you trying to talk to you? You are in hypnosis when you are driving down the road, lost in thought, humming your favorite song. Your sub-conscious is actually doing the driving while you are paying attention to something else.
You may have been hypnotized many times throughout your life and you may have called it something else. Meditation, Visualizing, Being "IN THE ZONE" When a person can drop themselves into this type of focused concentration on demand, it is self hypnosis.
Q. CAN A PERSON GET STUCK IN A HYPNOTIC TRANCE?
A: Absolutely not, it’s impossible! There has been many misconceptions due to Hollywood and the movies. Even if a volunteer were to be left in a trance-state, they would simply just fall into a natural normal sleep and wake up on their own.Also... Nobody will do anything against their will, their morals or ethics while in hypnosis.
My Hypnosis Show is completely safe and not dangerous. I have been performing my show across the country for 17 years. I have been a certified hypnotherapist by the National Guild of Hypnotists, The National Exercise & Sports trainers Association and a graduate of OMNI, a licensed hypnosis training facility. I have also been a certified member of the National Speakers Association
Q. WILL ANYONE BE EMBARRASSED OR OFFENDED?
This is a CLEAN show. No one will be offended or embarrassed in the show at any time. Sure we all want to have a little fun but everyone is always treated with respect. All shows are non-offensive and corporate friendly. My shows are rated G or GP and have material suitable for family and corporate audiences.Q. HOW DO YOU FIND VOLUNTEERS TO PARTICIPATE?
A: The beginning of the show gives me a chance to break the ice and build rapport with each audience that I perform for. While I'm doing that, it's my job to test the audience and find out who the best hypnotic subjects are.Once we all know who those people are, they are given a choice whether to volunteer or not. No one is coerced or forced to volunteer if they don't want to do it. It's something each person cannot decide before the show until it's that time to make a choice.
The volunteers that do participate feel much better after the show ends than they did before it started and have had the experience of a lifetime feeling much better after the show ends than they did before it started. The audience have just seen a show they will not soon forget.
Q. HOW MUCH ROOM IS REQUIRED?
A. My Hypnosis show is very flexible and can be performed for groups as small as 25 people or up to several hundred. I am also very flexible on the size of the performing area or stage. My show can be set up virtually anywhere. I often recommend a stage or platform with steps for groups of 150 or more. Each venue and room that I perform is unique and somewhat different. I can set up my show program to fit your needs and what works best for everyone's enjoyment.
